For adults, attend Yarn Club, Yarn Wizards, Cookbook Club, A Discovery of Stitches, Paint & Sip, or Stitchaholics.

For kids and teens, attend the monthly kids craft, any storytime, A Discovery of Stitches, or the Lakeport Makerspace patio.

Then you'll be added to a drawing for the Crafter's prize basket!

Geocaching is a fun “treasure hunt” activity where explorers use GPS devices or cell phones with tracking devices to search for “treasure caches” that have been hidden in various locations by other geocachers. The caches typically consist of small containers with trinkets. Geocachers are allowed to take a trinket in exchange for leaving another. The coordinates are then logged online or automatically with new GPS devices.

Finding a cache is simple:

1) Log in to Geocaching.com (it’s free!) to get coordinates which can be downloaded to a handheld GPS unit.

2) Follow the signal to the cache.

3) Take or leave a treasure.

4) Log your find on the Geocaching.com website.

It's easy to get so preoccupied with our own lives that we forget about others, but with just one simple act of kindness, we can change the way someone else's day goes, and we can better ourselves and the world in the process.
